Happy Birthday My Barney!

(Happy Birthday song requires copyright royalty fees)
So here is my composed birthday song for you.

"
Happy Birthday to you
Singing once you No Hue
Until I say your name, Barney!
Then you'll smile at me too
"

Humans are funny creatures:
  When young, they love birthdays
  When middle-aged, they dislike birthdays
  When senior, they ignore birthdays
  When old, they hated birthdays

Why is that so?
How am I supposed to know?

I'm still in between young and middle-aged.
Ask someone older you stupid no-brainer.

*Oops*

Almost forgot that I am supposed to wish Barney happy birthday.

Barney,
may all your wishes come true
so that I can tag my wishes with you

Merry Birthday!

Big big prawns
Big big scallops
Big big sauce
Big big pasta
Big big offer
[based on Zap Zap theme advertisement]

Here we go!!!

[do you know who my Barney is?]

[am I suppose to write a book and tell you?]

"A" is no longer POPULAR

A is no longer popular.
A is no longer favoured by the mass.
A is going to be history.

[For those of you who are still scoring "A"s in schools, keep it that way]

For those men who support big boobers,
Say YEAH!
[I can't hear you]
Say YEAH!!! YEAH!

And for those A-cup ladies, now it's the time, sign up NOW!
- FREE upgrades (no contract required)

When you travel to Beijing or Shanghai, not only can you get cheap bras, you can even get BIGGER bras.

[Remember my thesis on Good and Cheap]
[Maybe I can do another one on Cheap and BIG]

See the article from 25th April Today newspaper:
------------------------

CHINA'S BIG BRA BONANZA
-----------------------

Many makers say they no longer produce A-cup bras

BEIJING - Chinese women's breasts are becoming bigger and have become a
hot topic in China following media attention.

But bra-makers said that they noticed the growth last year and started
making bigger sizes to cope with the change, reported The Shanghai Daily.

Most said that they have stopped producing A-cup bras and some have even
created sub-brands to specialise in larger bra sizes.

Hong Kong-based Embry Group began reacting to the trend last year.

"We don't produce A-cups for some bras with larger chest circumference now
as demand is low," Ms Li Na, a spokesman for Embry, which has counters in
most of Shanghai's department stores, told the newspaper.

"At the same time, we increased production of C, D and E-cup products and
also found sales booming."

Ms Zhang Jing, a saleswoman with the Triumph brand at Landmark Plaza said
she's surprised to find many women under the age of 20 need bras with C, D
or even E-cups. "It's so different from the past when most young women
would wear  A- or B-cup bras," she said.

Taiwanese underwear brand Ordifen was another to act quickly after
receiving feedback from customers.

"For a time we only made A- and B-cup bras for many categories of products
but now C-cups have become a major focus especially in big cities like
Shanghai and Beijing," said spokesman Feng Wei.

While there were no scientific figures to prove that breast sizes were
growing quicker in large cities than underdeveloped areas, the Beijing
Institute of Clothing Technology released a report last week saying the
average chest circumference of Chinese women has hit 83.53cm, up nearly
1cm from the early 1990s.

The growth is credited to women eating more nutritiously and taking part
in more sports.

------------- End of article ---------------

PS: No offence to what so ever CUP you are "HOLDING", I just wish that I can hold the WORLD CUP.
[For a minute]

What is the moral of the article about bigger CUPS?

1) Bigger CUPS can hold more "liquid" therefore require a bigger support
2) Bigger CUPS can be achieved by having more nutritious food
3) Bigger CUPS can be "exercised" through Bedroom SPORTS

Hence, forget about those breast enhancement advertisements you saw, if it was really that good, why aren't all the operators of that company having BIG CUPS instead of BIG GULP? (The more they drink, the more they TALK only)

Cheap and good, wishful thinking, PHD-styled

I believe in general, many are still pursing the cheap and good because cost of living has been rising not in tandem with our pay packages.

Inflation comes, our hardship comes also, did our bonus come as well?

We want good life, we want cheap stuffs (how many can just buy things without comparing? Perhaps that is termed as blind?)

However, if you understand the physics, good and cheap are mutually exclusive and they cannot be UNIONed.

Take these articles for example:

20 Apr 2006 (Today)
HOME RETIREMENT?

----------------

A local retirement village helps cut hassle, saves time and keeps family ties alive

………………..

Proposed retirement village across border? Why not Singapore?

Because land is expensive, plus you want to put up good facilities, you think it will be cheap to stay?
Moving to Johor, Bintan, Batam is cheap, will there be good facilities?

CARS MUST MEET GLOBAL STANDARDS

--------------------------------

Letter from LYNN ONG Deputy manager, Media Relations, Lands Transport Authority

I REFER to Mr Alex Chng's letter "Yes, Chinese cars are cheap but ..." (April 13).

……………………

Cheap cars from China, will they land in Singapore?

With no track record, certification of gas emission, blah blah and all the crap,
by the time they finished all the procedures, do you think the "crab" is still cheap?

……………. End of articles example ……………………

Now back to living in Singapore,

- good security
(not so dangerous when females come home late from work and play and club, 11 pm, 12 am, 3 am?)

- good environment
(sheltered bus-stops with fans, sheltered walkway, some yes some no? why? because it's a non-?A? ground, double standard?)

- good transport
(get anyway within an hour for as low as $1.50 with AIR-CON plus the convenience of Tap Tap at your Tummy, Tap Tap at your Tummy... - Irritating advertisement)

- good eateries
(lots of late night supper outlets and nearby conveniences, except for the MSG they put in)

- good tech life
(I was still carrying pager in my poly days and nowadays children in primary school are holding a Nokia N90 with 3G video calls, what the hell!!!)

- good education
(Reputable mathematics and science students with bi-lingual capabilities to outshine our neighbours in working and doing business. However we disappoint my "mother" by not taking care of our "tongue")

- good crime prevention
(low theft, burglary, insane drug addicts - can eat GRASS anytime!)

- good racial harmony
(cultured exchange benefits with different cultural holidays and you don't get people throwing eggs at you while you are walking around the road-side)

- good political party
(that we don't have to care, don't have to vote, don't even need to know who are PM is)

- good gambling facilities
(akan dating-prestigious casino, oops should I say Integrated Resorts with fun filled packed entertainment for the whole family)

- good equatorial location
(no natural disasters except for human ones)

- good traveling location
(relatively cheap travels across the world with Thailand offering cheap cheap deals with tons of varieties)

- good dollar strength
(our dollar is bigger than most of our neighbours, which sometimes RED passport holders are being targeted for their "revenge")

I know that are a lot more, this list is not exhaustive yet,
but with so many good stuffs around. Do you think you should pay more for all this?

Personally, I wish that cheap and good can happen together,
however after 20 years of research (searching over and over again),
I have derived this magical formula:

C != G2
CHEAP not equal GOOD GOOD
IF ( GOOD ) THEN
"it can never be cheap"
ELSE IF ( CHEAP ) THEN
"it can never be good"
ELSE
"it's good and not cheap"
END IF

Goods can be cheap,
cheap goods cannot be Good

I am preparing this as my final year thesis for PHD in "Why Humans are never contented".

Currently pursuing a PHD in Humans Never Enough in NU? University (name has been modified to protect the victim)

They are lovin' it? (Apple Pie)

Woooo man … I just have a question for Mr WKS, did he REALLY answer the question of "how can one TELL how RESIDENTS in a SPECIFIC area has voted"

I would think that the earlier person who wrote in with the following in mind:

"how exactly can the votes from a block of residents be identified?"

If you staying block A1, there are 25 storeys, plus there are 8 blocks around here, can they really zoom into which resident from which block maybe even FLOOR and DOOR unit actually voted for PAP or the Opposition?

Pardon me for my poor comprehension, I know I'm not cut out to be in the politics world, and my lawyer is currently in Dubai touring the mini islands, enjoying himself, leaving me all to battle with my vocals and typing ALONE.

LONELY, I'm so lonely…

I've nobody…

VOTES ARE KEPT SECRET: DPM WONG ON REALTY PARK

----------------------------------------------
- Channel NewsAsia

DEPUTY Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng has assured Singaporeans that their
votes are secret.

But it is possible for candidates from all political parties to tell how a
specific polling district has voted when they witness the counting of the
votes, he said in response to questions yesterday on Senior Minister Goh
Chok Tong's comments over the weekend that private estates like Realty
Park could be upgraded if more than 60 per cent of the residents there
voted for the People's Action Party (PAP).

If the vote is secret, how could one tell how the residents in a specific
precinct voted? The answer, said Mr Wong, is really an open secret.

How each polling station or counting station votes is known because anyone
who has a right to be in the counting centre - a counting agent and the
candidate, for example, can observe the counting of the votes by the
Election Department officials.

"When they do the count, they'll stack up the votes and in the end do a
tally - how many votes for this station go to which party and everyone
knows that. So it's not just the PAP that knows ... The Workers' Party
also knows this, Mr Chiam also knows this. So it's not a secret," said Mr
Wong.

He also explained the need for serial numbers on the ballot papers. One
reason is to deter stuffing of the ballot boxes with phantom votes.

-- End of Extract (partial) – I don't need to show you more.

By the way, if you happen to read this far…

They already said it's an open secret.

If it's open, why say secret in the first place?

Because, they know a lot more, than you don't.

If they want to win, they can, it's really not difficult if they know how to CUT the big apple pie. :)

"Ni Chi Ping Guo Pai Le Ma?"

PAP PAP PAP … PAP PAP… They are lovin' IT!

Pay more to Malaysia after Labour Day? ::CNA Article::

From 1 May, motorists from Singapore and Thailand are likely to have to pay 20 ringgit for a vehicle entry permit to enter Malaysia.

The Malaysian government decided on the fee hike to sustain part of the cost of petrol and diesel which it subsidises.

Malaysian authorities added that the move was made to prevent motorists in Singapore and Thailand from taking advantage of the lower cost of petrol and diesel in Malaysia.

Malaysian Tourism Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor told Channel NewsAsia over the phone: "People who come into Malaysia - tourists or coming for holiday or they want to do something in Malaysia - definitely, they can afford to pay the 20 ringgit. I don't think there will be any effect on our tourism industry or travellers coming into Malaysia from Singapore."

But while many motorists say this will not deter them from entering Malaysia, many say they would certainly think twice before making casual trips across the Causeway.

"If they're doing big business, I think 20 ringgit is nothing. But if just a small business, or maybe just go for tour, I think they will think about it," said a motorist.

"I'm sure nobody will want to go there. 20 ringgit is a lot. Right now, we're already paying 2.60 ringgit. I think 20 ringgit is a lot," said another.

Others differ.

"I will still travel to Malaysia because Singapore also charges them when they travel to Singapore. So it's the same," said a woman.

"If we have to go, we have to go. There is no problem, 20 ringgit or whatever," said another woman.

Singapore already has a vehicle entry permit charge for Malaysian vehicles entering the island - S$20 per day for cars (from 2am to 5pm but free on Saturdays and Sundays) and $4 for motorcycles. - CNA/ir
======== From CNA

To begin with, I don’t know where to start.
Big on wheels, yet small on heart?
Should I pity, or party?

You drive a car, leave office after 7pm, enter orchard after 8pm.
You scout for Yellow parking lots, camp from 3pm onwards.
You drive to Malaysia with an empty boot, come back with an army load of food
You are asset rich, but cash poor that’s why you are not owning a car (Then don’t bloody buy a car in the very FIRST place! – An Australian ad has been banned for telecast rights in many countries because of the “bloody” word, I hope my doesn’t)

All those determined efforts, just to save some bucks in compensation for your high premium egoistic traveling machine?

First, you drive there to enjoy super duper savings, and I can even “see” motorists saying “RIGHT NOW, we’re already paying $2.60”. What is a RM$2.60 to a driver who pays S$35-S$65 per week for a full tank petrol? 1/2 hour of CBD parking? A can of 100 Plus? Two roti prata ko-song?

What about those who have to pay $20 Sing to come into Singapore daily? We ought to thank Malaysian government for waking us up that we are enjoying such low-cost affordable subsidized rate, and yet there are still a lot of cheapskates taking it for granted? Better start thanking him that we are not paying $20 USD or EURO.

Why? Has our society prompted us or even educated us to be like such? Or have we adapted too fast too furiously that even our own citizens cannot catch up? (Which leaves so many unemployed above 40? – I am having bad feelings about working beyond 65 when I’m old)

May I offer you another great saving deal? SMRT – a great way to ride… (80% Quoted from our national carrier)

Don’t rattle in yet… I know where you are coming from also …

Yes, I understand there are two sides to a coin, we go over there to contribute to their GDP, but we have also increase their cost of living unintentionally? Why do you think their price of a bowl of Mee Rebus is comparable to ours even though their citizens are still earning in RM dollars? Enough said.

I can understand and have come to accept the genuine FACT that Singaporean’s number one hobby is “Complain”. But most do with only one dimension, which often leads to misunderstanding and equates to ??? Sad. (Can we be in the Guinness World Records for our No.1 Hobby?)

By the way, before you JUMP again, I’m a true blue 100% Singaporean. Not always blue on Mondays. =)

(If kia-su type, better start doing some manual labour by bringing your jelly cans to fill up the petrol before Labour Day)

Cheers. Have a nice week ahead!

Voices: ILL Children... Childcare centres... What parents can do...

========= As extracted from Today paper
Letter from poor Mum
(Name has been replaced to protect the writer from non-newspaper reading folks)

I refer to your article "HFMD: Parents' lax attitude worrying" (March 28).

I started taking my 19-month-old daughter to a childcare centre two monthsago.
A couple of weeks ago, she had a fever and we had to take her home asthe childcare centre refused to admit her.

As a working mother who has just started a new job, I was not allowed totake any leave

However, as we were not able to make alternative arrangements (my husband works rigid shifts), I had to ask my boss forurgent leave so that I could look after my sick child.

I felt frustrated when the childcare centre refused to admit my child.

They were not being understanding. We were not lax - we are just desperateparents.

Can't the childcare centre offer alternative arrangements such as having asick bay, a temporary nanny or assigning a teacher to look after the sickchild (at an extra cost, perhaps)?

There is limited help a couple can get in terms of day-to-day care of children

(especially those couples who do not have maids or parents tohelp out).

We are now contemplating employing a maid.

But my husband and I areworried about leaving a complete stranger alone with our kid.
What choices are we left with?
======= End of Extract

First thing:
You are not alone
Second thing:
Just because you want people to fit you, you ask them to accomodate
Third thing:
Things don't happen this wya in this world

My try-to-be-funny answer:
a) Hire a friend (who is currently out of job) to look after your children, in that way, they are no strangers!
b) Put your kid at any one of our friendly neighbourhood affordable stylish apparel store, Giordano.

My empathy answer to all those suffering from such problems and advice to those who are joining this “scenario”

Those who are in already:
There are always other childcare centers around. In this materialistic world, MOST people just wanna make money, and MOST consumers will just use money to settle their problems. I understand juggling work and family life is hard, either you have to sacrifice your time or your money. However, your child’s future/family bonding/personality will be your end-result of your decision.

Those who are in-coming:
Plan far if you are going to have a child, think of all necessary stuffs to cater for your “additional” commitment. Life is NEVER going to be the same again.
So remember your CONDOMs all you little pre-marital sex addicts!!!
Hahahahha

(If the GUY is too shy to buy, tell me. I will inform your GAL where to buy the FEMALE version)
