Here comes another one...
Singapore stocks are on the dive... Movie tickets are on the rise...
{The Movie Petition}
http://www.polyguide.net/petition/index.php
When was the last time any petition worked in Singapore?
(Can someone quote me, please, I will really love to know...)
- Remember the recently Transport petition for Polytechnic students that went into Straits Times...
(What happen then?)
[A simple reason to defeat the argument, JC and ITE students are still wearing SCHOOL UNIFORM, so what are you wearing my poly fashion street cat walkers? Maybe you can start a petition to allow Polytechnic students to wear uniforms, then ask for the same transport privilege as the JC and ITE students, how about that?
My suggestion is free for re-cycle and re-design to tailor to your needs.
No copyright is imposed on this idea. Cheers!]
- Remember the Straits Times paper hikes? (60 cents to 80 cents, if you were born somewhere in late 2004)
- Remember the fee based subscription of Straits Times Interactive Online?
- Remember the NEL MRT fee hikes?
- Remember remember remember? (I don't and I don't bother...)
I don't remember seeing any organisation giving any damn shit about petition, let alone the forum of Straits Times. Well, at least once you get your petition or your delusive cries onto the forum, they will respond and case closed. Period.
So if you are still thinking of getting your petition onto the Straits Times forum, I can help you to send a letter in, let's wait and see what have they got to answer...
I will say that the petition will still stand a clear chance of winning the argument, provided if you can get at least 75% of the singapore population to vote. (This is how majority of the decisions are being made. Just like BTO flats, ULP or LUP (Upgrading Lift Program), estate upgrading, etc, before you get 75% of the residents to nod their head, they will not proceed. So start marketing your petition. Do you need some help from the marketing GURU??? Dial at 1800-LIFE-CONCEPT NOW!!! Whilst Stocks Lasts!!!)
Now you are just on your hundreds, the moderator will need to try harder than god to succeed.
Need a bible?
Until then, why not buy movie vouchers (about 200, average number of tickets varies according to different movie animals) to keep and use for the rest of the year or even until the government decides to step in and control the price hike. (Please don't thank me for the recommendation, I will feel blushed and flattered.)
What I can conclude is that, Singaporeans will always cry fowl whenever there is a change.
A change whereby they think that it is not suitable for them. After a while, they have no other choice, they get adapted, they will start to complain about other stuffs along the way. (Maybe that's something to be proud of, ALWAYS SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN!!!)
They will only cry, but no action is taken. What's the point? Everyone knows how to cry.
(Step 1. Open mouth. Step 2. Close eyes. Step 3. Force tears out. Step 4. Add eye drops when necessary.)
Does everyone know how to ACT? (Seen the Starsky and Hutch movie? "DO IT", "DO IT")
When LTA told the public that we are going EZ-link access, how will you get to school, work and home without a EZ-link card? (Drive! Great for those rich Arses!)
For those who managed to jump across the barrier gates,
I suppose they made their point by jumping onto the MRT tracks to show the public that THEY are the MAN!
Who decides what anyway? THOSE with the money makes the decision.
"Instead of crying, why not act on it?"
How about a boycott to start with?
Just like the China - Japan controversy,
those Canon and Sony companies and products are in deep shit.
Just a piece of advice for the digital camera fanatics, don't let the HARD CORE China folks see you holding a Japanese brand cam. By then, I am not sure whether your CANON camera CAN ON or not?
Sorry for my long post, I shall retire now...
Please feel free to contribute any ideas and experience of yours...
- Always Welcome -
