New broadband and adsl plans, 6500 kbps, 3500kbps, what's next?

I believe everyone has heard and seen the latest internet connection plans from our ever competitive providers.

Singnet is offering up to unlimited 3500kbps adsl connection plan

Starhub is offering up to unlimited 6500kps broadband connection plan

Isn't that a good idea to sign up for high speed connection that are offered to us and join the rest of the community to surf down the internet fashion highway.

Before you jumped on the bandwagon, please take a few seconds to dicpher the statement below.

With the IP laws kicking in this year, copyrighted materials should not be downloaded without paying royalties. Anything that is copyright-free cannot be distributed without the permission of the author or the copyright owner.

So what the hell are you doing with your 6500 or 3500 even with all four computers at home accessing the net simultaneously? Loading all the huge movie trailers? Loading your whole 250mb mailbox from yahoo? Or getting cheap thrills by loading the porn free previews at double the speed?

256kbps is already adequate for downloading emails and surfing the internet. Why subscribe for speed that you don't need? Just like an example of buying a high tech modern phone to fit into the society yet you are just using it for mobile calls and not even the sms.

Lion meets Tiger and CUPs OFF!

You have been ignoring, it's a waste of time.
They are not going to get anywhere. Tiger Cup. The Lions.

When did we hear the last ROAR?
We hear it because the Lions have performed well,
having impressive progress as well.

When they are down and out, where were you guys?
Somewhere sitting along the pubs of Boat Quay to
begin your search of a new league, a new team, a new hope.

Singapore League? Waste of time
Tiger Cup? Waste of time, unless the Lion meets Tiger.
Premier League, as the name already spells, its PREMIER!

People just love to join the hype whenever there is one.
When lots of people are donating, they pour in more.
When lots of supporters are yelling at the idols, they yell even louder.

So is the minority invisible? Or just another waste of time?

- When you are on the road to wining, everyone is cheering
When you are down, the supporters are nowhere to be found -

The big big picture. [Before and after]

When your feel the touch, your heart wobbles,
your hands start to help, your mind start to wonder.

After a few days of donation drive and you saw that "someone else" is donating more than you,
with your capable means, you have decided to pour in more.
[In the name of glory or pride? or seriously from your heart?]

Your eyes saw the huge amount being raised.
Finally, in your right mind, something struck you,
"Where is my money going?"

You are determined, not to contribute further,
but spending more time, to seek the distribution of the aid funds.

To your dismay, up to 50% of your contribution may be eaten up by corruption,
in your mind, "Why am I helping the corruptors? But how can I avoid them?"

After a few days of serious brainstorming, there is no solution,
you gave up, THAT'S IT!, the spirit dies off.

Is that the real lifecycle of true giving?
"But you are giving to the wrong people (most of the time)!"
Do you calculate so much when you give?
Do you give because you can get something in return? (pride, attention, etc)
I am not alienating donation, I am against those who are donating with apprehension.

People are so concern about instant results that sometimes it blinds them before they put serious thought into it.
They only see the whole picture when things happened, not to their initial thoughts.
The chain reaction and effects of the initial action will come to light piece by piece.

There you go.

Humans: 80-90%

Doesn't visualise the whole picture before they commit on something.
There are many daily examples such as: marriage, loans, diet pills, even sex.

So shouldn't we be focusing our education more on the before and after and AFTER after for more intelligent decisions?
That will definitely make us a better performer and leader in many ways.

When the waves are slapping, you panic, you will realise -

To fish or not to fish

Rumors across the asia pacific region has been rising to stay away from seafood due to the drastic change in diet of the various marine life. Since Boxing day, they MIGHT be feed on the raising number of dead bodies, beach particles and even onshore debris caused by the fatal tsunami.

Are we going to abandon our fish?
How about our favourite chilli crabs, oat & butter prawns and even succulent calamari?

Do we heed the advice of 100% cooked seafood is safe to eat?

Maybe we will be safe after avoiding seafood for a month, maybe then, the "tsunami" batch of fish will end and we can resume our seafood buffet feast?

How about the descendants and children of their batch?
Maybe we can wait till their generation ends before we embark on our new year's resolution of seafood hunting?

I guess the person that is going to panic will be the CEO of FISH & Co., What sorts of health notice will they be putting up to lure their regulars back in order to battle against the discrimination of seafood?

Personally, I can live without fish. Not forever, but for now, at least.
Hey friends, how about a gathering at FISH and CO soon?

Be Patient!

Tsunami victims, my sincere blessings. Top 10 must read!

Some forewords for singaporeans:
"You do not have to thank god that we are safe,
the actual people you have to thank are,
our beloved neighbours whom withstand all damages
to allow us to live in such enduring amity"

Have you done your part?
I have done mine.
Not a lot that I can afford now,
but still unpretended and reasonable.

Just some 10 true ugly facts about humans:
*Warning! The content might not be suitable for those of faint-hearted*

They have tsunami
We have sashimi (Well, at least they are related)

They have been panicking here and there

We have been offered shopping here and there (Sales and discounts everywhere)

They do not have enough drinks

We are toasting too many drinks (Thinking of what to order next)

They do not have ample food

Yet we are wasting food (Ordered too many, many leftovers)

They do not have clean water

We complained about our iced water (We still need to pay for that?)

They require our generosity

We focused on our charities (Don't we have too many?)

They are facing the odour of dead bodies

We are complaining the smelly fart of somebody (Does any scientific research indicate that will kill?)

They lost their entire hardwork in a flash

We spend our earnings as fast as we can dash (Aren't We obedient to work hard, play hard, spend hard?)

Many of them lost their homes

Some of us run away from our homes (Both parents and child are at fault, should have remain calm and discourse)

Everyday, a disaster is being made

What took us so long to donate? (If you have a heart, you can show it constantly, not just when things happen)

If you think joke of the day is funny, wait till you hear this :
how about donating high heel shoes for tsunami victims?
so you think they might be on a higher ground to escape the catastrophe?
There are lots of ways to dispose them for a good cause,
you can try giving it to the needy, those whom already have a roof over their heads.

If you are looking for an excuse to clear your house full of rubbish
This is not a very good time to do so, as they are not your chute
If you sincerely want to help, do it right,
if not, you are better off not helping than dragging the whole operation down.
Thank you so much.

Are you ready to think what should you be doing from this new year onwards,
rather than to wait for the saturday's paper to inform you of the latest mobile offers?

You live your life, you decide, I advise.

"Humans are never ready to do things without a problem
Only effects will prompt people to think of a solution"

- This is humans, we are born to err
that is an excuse, we all use... -
