New Year Spraying - Armed yourself !!!

Santa will not be around to fill in all the text here this season.
But he will be back next year to present the best under the sun.

As this is the last day of 2004, have you made up all your resolutions for 2005?

SNOWING EXPERIENCE IN ORCHARD

Just a word of caution when you are walking around the streets of Orchard Road or where ever that sell those spraying thingy (for snow flakes, strings, etc). Watch your back, your head and even where you are walking towards. It was a very bad experience for many people, imagining yourself swimming through the sandwich packed pedestrian crossing and someone in the pack just yell: "Merry Xmas" and there you have it. A white wonderful xmas on your head and shoulders.

This is how the syndicate make money out of it.

They have uncle selling the cans.
They have young people to play with the spray.
So when you are hit by them, you smell revenge.
So you will buy cans from the uncle. (Profiting them)
And start your long journey of cat spray fighting.
Just when you have exhausted yours, they still have theirs,
So you will go pass another stall to replenish your ammos.
And the party just never stops... Have FUN!

And trust me, they target on groups, so one word of advice, stay single and try not to walk so close to groups or you might just be mistaken for one.

Well the funny thing is that I saw people buying cans but not spraying. They are purchasing it as a form of defense. Once you are hit, hit them back. In school, that is known as self-defence. Haha
Finally you can apply some skills without getting caught.

On the coming New Year's eve, this is what you can do to fend of those irritating people.

1. Wear your overheads (cap, hood, etc)
2. Have another extra piece of jacket or cardigan to bear the "spray"
3. Bring your goggles, equip when necessary
4. [Have a deadly weapon - This is the best part] Instead of buying sprays from the stalls at the roadside. Try visiting your nearest NIPPON stall and choose your favourite colour. Remember to get those weather-proof ones.

There you go, you should be able to enjoy the best of third worlds, the old year, the new year and the defensive year!

Well that is when you look the best right? After 1 or 2 hours of make up, personal grooming, combing left and right and end up in the centre, cock standing high.

So when do you think you look the ugliest?

At the time when you are studying for your diploma, (be it business, marketing, finance, IT, engineering, marine, architecture, etc) do you know what you are getting into?

Person #1: Who cares, just go where all the girls are, that should make your life more worthwhile! At least for your love life.

Person #2: I don't have a choice, my parents want me to study this course, can I defy their choice?

Person #3: Well I cannot get into the course I want, how am I suppose to work on it? My results are already fix!

Person #4: I choose IT courses because it has a good starting salary.

Person #5: Accountacy is the right course for me because I like calculations and the future is bright for accountants.

About 95% of the students, upon completion of their courses, don't work where they are suppose to work. Even for persons #1 to #4, after graduation, they don't like the course, they are still looking for a job in that area. If not what can they do?

Only the Person #5 is looking good for now, but how good is good? and how now is now?

Society changes fast, technology changes even faster, can you ever catch up? Are you running on par with the change or are you always the one chasing the fashion lagging behind?

NOW that's your choice. Whatever you have gone through in your life when you don't make or know the decision, let it be, put what has gone to be gone. Cherish, plan and look into the future.

Satay n Seafood by the river?

Craving for the best satay in town? Yet you don't want to miss out the beautiful scenic views of the singapore river? (Or whatever the river is known as)

Absolutely hard to find!

Located under the "during structure" bridge and right in front of the Waterboat House near Fullerton, you can see a stretch of stalls with plenty of sitting arena for your pleasure dining experience.

The satay rocks', the seafood hots' and also my wallet pops'. (If you get what I mean)

They operate till late night during the weekends from friday to sunday (till 2:30am).

The ambience for having seafood and satay is great. And here comes the best part: you can enjoy it throughout any season cause your are sitting right under the bridge, no rain nor shine can dampen your spirits, maybe perhaps the collapse of the bridge?

- Eat well to stay fat and fit
Drink well to remember where the toilet is -

Who doesn't like money?
Those who claimed that they have enough money already? Come on, when is enough enough? Of course, there are still people who finds satisfaction somewhere else rather than money.
Personally, I admire those people and I myself is trying to be one.

One day, a family of four tomatos were on their way to catch a plane. The family consist of the mother tomato, father tomato and two young playful tomatoes.

As this is the first time that the children tomatoes have been in an airport, they are taking pictures as they are slowly following behind. Upon hearing the 'last call" for boarding, the father tomato turns back and yell at his kids, "Ketchup, we are going to be late".

The two young tomatoes looked at one another and turn back to their father and shouted: "We are tomatoes, not ketchup!"

The father tomato shouted again: "I am asking you two to CATCH up!"

Sleepy at work?

Well, basically there are two things you can do.

Either you bring a pack of snackies to fill up every hour of your sleeping bug by chewing on
them,or you can start to talk to someone near you to spark up the communication bug so that they can keep you active.

Do you know that when you speak up, you don't feel so sleepy. Our minds are active during communication and therefore perking the whole body up. Many a times when you are talking to your friends, you are always in an energetic mood. (Of course if you are talking to the right friends)

FOOD, on the other hand has some magical powers. According to scientific research, food that goes into your stomach will generate some kind of chemical fluids that makes you happy. (Don't ask me, I am not a chemist)

prata prata... curry chicken

Supper Prata fans,

for all those that are not staying near the north area of singapore

now you have a new venue for your prata craving, with exceptionally good curry chicken gravy.

Although their prata taste varies in taste from time to time (well, it happens to all the prata stalls so far that I have went to) but overall, it deserves my praise.

Casuarina Prata, located along the stretch of upper thompson road in between a row of shophouses. To identify the correct stall, their takeaway plastic bags even have their names printed on it.

Their normal fish gravy is just mediocre, but their curry chicken is superb, at least for me.

They are the very first few to invent the widest range of prata you can imagine, be sure to check them out when you are planning your next prata trip.

Why is the standard always not up to par?
There is only a reason for that:

Quality affects Efficiency,
Efficiency affects Quantity -

Reality? Too hard to accept?

In life,
we are always chasing what have been missing...
we are always forgetting what have been beside us already...

Many a times, unconsciously we know what situation are we in,
but consciouslywe tied ourselves up with all sorts of events to delude our minds.
We always clamied that we are "busy", we have no time for this and that,
but in actual fact, we are just running away from reality.

Who wants to be hurt? who wants to be in the truth?

For those who choose to stand up and face the reality
are the ones that will succeed in achieving satisfaction in their lives.

Three phase love

There are three phases in a complete love life.

The well known honeymoon, the difficult endurance testing, the marriage bliss.

Who doesn't agree that the honeymoon is always the best of the three, because you just got to know your partner, everything is so fresh... fresh flowers are always lovely, don't you think?
And for those naive ones, will hope for the eternity of good times and blind themselves by digging a hole in the ground and stuff their heads in. How nice if we can just stop the time and enjoy the moment. "Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring" Did you just hear your alarm clock??

Fortunately, only 5% of the couples break up during their honeymoon period, I don't know how can people break off when they are both at their best, concealed bad habits, good presentation and all the white lies. Maybe they don't like sweet stuffs. Oh well, whatever.

According to survey (Professor Lee's) 75% of the couples break off during the "middle" phase, which is the endurance x-ray test phase. Why do I call it the endurance x-ray test? You will find out more, on next week's Love Day blog day.

Till then, the remaining 20% falls on the marriage phase. (If your mathematics isn't that good enough)
