Laughter the best medicine, but I don’t like the doctors.

Welcome to the doctors! I am really dumb founded at this topic. I am a jovial person yet not a joker. Since this is my first try, I hope to perform my best with no regrets. When you are on stage, there is no room for mistakes…. What am I talking about? Here goes:

Do you happen to notice that you have laugh lines on your face when you laugh? If you don’t have, enough said. If you have them, fret not, there are lots of creams around, just avoid the whipped cream.

Extracted from a script:

God put us here to have a laugh,
hence the word laugh lines,
do yourselves a favour,
'let your eyes crinkle, let your skin wrinkle'
our lines show that we lived,
if he/she doesn't love you when you looked like a map;
tell him/her to hit the road (fly the kite, up the lorry?)

Are you feeling much better now?

Work Premiere, are you lovin’ it?

Brand new day, brand new start, hopefully not your brand new job. :P
Has it been a day that you are dragging yourself to work again? I can only think of one reason, the only one that will make me feel happy to go to work on a Monday! That is of course, the last day of my work at the company that I detest! Hahahaha…..

How many of your friends beside you really LOVE the work that they are doing now? I will give you a percentage, 1%. But why are we sticking to the job that we do not really like to do? Because … WE DON’T HAVE A CHOICE! We, Work to live, not Live to work as we would very much love to.

Before you get to do something that you like, you gotta do something you don’t like. So once you have the experience, qualifications, then you have some bargaining power. And that’s where the decision comes in, but please bear in mind, what you like may not pay you as high as what you want... (unless you have the luck to strike prize 1 of TOTO based on a $1 ticket)

Blues are over, look forward in your life. Bring it on, Tuesday.

Good colleagues stabbed you in the front-

[So which will you choose?]

Themed Concept (",) (,")

Finally people… The time has come, to get serious.
All the while, it has been an introductory launch to my “concept” site. I thank you for your loyal support although nothing much make sense to you, but still I hope you can stay on for more relevant topics revolving your life.

You will be expecting themes coming like such:
[Monday] = Work
[Tuesday] = Laughter
[Wednesday] = Love
[Thursday] = Life
[Friday] = Food
[Saturday] = Your Request [Or General]
[Sunday] = Love

Well, as you can see I have listed “love” having two days of the week, why? Because they have the highest influencing power in our lives and love starts from the day you are born. For the rest, it is just part and parcel of life, so it’s time to seriously look at it and how we can make life meaningful!

Your life, it matters! Do something about it now!

5 Cs, derived from ..."S"... Flag?

I was walking along the streets last night and I saw the Singapore Flag hanging on a pole along the railings… I was looking at the flats that I wander upon, thinking of the 5 Cs that flashes into my tiny brain cells.

Who the hell came out with the 5 Cs? Car, Condo, Cash, Credit Card, Club. Do you see some resemblance with our Singapore Flag? Just as I thought! The person who came out with our flag design was so far-sighted; he knew what everyone was looking forward to: “The 5 Cs”

In case you do know know what our flag looks like, here you go:
There is a big “C”resent and “5” “s”tars. It all makes sense. If you do some rearrangement from “C” “5” “s”, you will get 5 Cs!!! So now you get what I am driving at? Sorry, I am actually walking home. :)

Whatever? Just a plain lazy Saturday to write something…

Idol vs Racidol?

I believe most of you have caught the premier episode of Singapore Idol. If you have not, good for you, hope you are doing something meaningful. :)

When the people get the chance to vote, do they always let their mind or heart rule their decision? Do they support “first hand” on their fellow mates rather than the abilities the contestant can display? Well you can ask yourself this question. I don’t want to spark off a racial conflict war, there are enough wars around the world, make love people.

Just ripped off something from our neighbours.
In Malaysian Idol, will the Malay vote for the Malay and the Chinese for the Chinese? How about the Malaysian-Chinese?

- Sometimes we are so engross that
we let our heart rule our decision
Sometimes we just have to pause
to think, to correct, our resolution -

Water + wind = pray? wish? hope?

For those who were dry the whole day, good for you.
For those who were wet throughout the day, unlucky for you
For those who got their legs damp for the day, it’s a 50/50 luck/preparation
“Applaud for those who put umbrellas in their bags”

For those who are wet, may think: “So unlucky, raining, didn’t manage to bring my umbrella, not convenient, troublesome, so auntie/uncle bring umbrella walk here and there, …more that you can think of…”
[To be frank] “Plain lazy, don’t bother, finding excuses, TAKE things for GRANTED”

I was just watching the news earlier, typhoon strikes Taiwan. Everyday those countries prone to natural disasters are getting something which they cannot prevent. In Singapore, we are so fortunate, yet we still grumble every tiny little bit of getting slightly "touched by water droplets".

[Heard from the streets]
“Aiyoh, so wet, damn the rain” – Didn’t bring umbrella
“Eeek! My heels are wet” – Brought an umbrella, but stepped into small puddle of water
“My shoulder, my shoulder, can you shift a bit to the right?” – A couple sharing an umbrella

I wonder what will they say, when they see typhoon coming?

We are not made of tissue paper, I know it can be time consuming and uncomfortable to clean up the mess that we got into with the rain, but sometimes that’s the reason behind our degrading personality. Too comfortable to step out of it, where ever is good, just stay inside, and Pray/Wish/Hope that it will never happen. When it hits you, it will hit you so hard that you will swear like hell.

If life is always sunny, then they will complain it is too hot, when it rains, they will complain troublesome, so what do they want? What do you want?

-Always prepare for the worst
You can hope for the best though-

Meal time, hungry time? when is enough?

After an easy hard day’s work, time to fill our stomach. No more chicks, no more ducks, what are we left with? Do we always settle down when we are hungry or just when the time strikes the “dinner” time?

Many a times you eat because it’s time, maybe you weren’t even hungry, just the thought of having a meal at the appropriate time makes you hungry. Now doesn’t all those just makes sense?

We sat down on a table, ordered some food. 3 person. 4 individual plates. How many a times we have always ordered an additional side dish so we can all tuck into it while we are waiting, or even filling up the extra storage inside us. However, when your stomach tells you that it is full, do you still gobble up the left overs?

I am not here to give you the answer. You live your life, the answer lies beneath your heart, just right at the centre of your stomach.

The big "O" and how you look... It matters!

Are you reading this because you are self-conscious and are you thinking about something along the “sex” line. Well either way, you are in the wrong post, but since you are here, why not stay a little bit longer.

I believe you have some knowledge about some big “O” by now, Singapore has just lost the last chance to get a medal since the last 40 odd years. Why?

It’s not that our players don’t have the skills, as the newspaper said (something that I can remember), “…having the skill is necessary, able to deliver your best under pressure is the main thing”.

Why did LJW lost? Not because she is not skillful enough, not because she cannot perform under pressure. I will not reveal what’s the answer, but let me give you a scenario.

You are walking alone down the alley for a shortcut home. Suddenly, out of nowhere, an average guy is blocking your way. You are just a nice lovely, soft-hearted, person trying to get to your destination, but someone is now blocking your way, how will you overcome him?

Simple, just show that you are more dominating. Repeat irritating noises, use intimidating stares, shout and throw a punch out when you got the upperhand. With all these moves, LJW might even turned out to be the champion for table-tennis.

The morale of the story?
“Skills count, and looks matter
Win or lose, it depends on the latter”

Talk and listen... Together?

For those who are watching television programmes, movies in groups, attending lectures, paying attention in class. There is always complete slience if they really want to listen. Why?

Most of the humans are born to be like that. They like to comment, bring up the good, the bad and the funny, crack jokes, revive the exciting parts, in the midst of the attention, they are missing out on something else.

Listening!

Something for you to read and learn and stay amused.

Love in life, complex in heart... [Finale]

CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS
=================================
A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested "I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one." The SDU officer said, "Your requirements, please." "Oh, good looking, polite, humorous, sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing to accompany me the whole day at home during my leisure hour, if I don't go out. Telling me interesting stories when I need companion for conversation and be silent when I want to rest." The officer listened carefully and replied, "I understand you need television."
There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband, because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up and discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The nightmare begins.

RIGHT SPEECH
=============
There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "A speech will either prosper or ruin a nation." Many relationships break off because of wrong speech. When a couple is too close with each other, we always forget mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without considering if it would hurt the other party.

A friend and her millionaire husband visited their construction site. A worker who wore a helmet saw her and shouted, "Hi, Emily! Remember me? We used to date in the secondary school." On the way home, her millionaire husband teased her, "Luckily you married me. Otherwise you will be the wife of a construction worker." She answered, "You should appreciate that you married me. Otherwise, he will be the millionaire and not you." Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad relationship.

-People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever. Pause and ponder. Think before you act. Be patient. Forgive & forget. Love one and all. If you judge people, you have no time to love them-

Love in life, complex in heart... [Part 2]

NO POINTING FINGERS
===================
A man asked his father-in-law, "Many people praised you for a successful marriage. Could you please share with me your secret?" The father-in-lawanswered in a smile, "Never criticise your wife for her shortcomings or when she does something wrong.Always bear in mind that because of her short comingsand weaknesses, she could not find a betterhusband than you."
We all look forward to being loved and respected. Many people are afraid of losing face. Generally,when a person makes a mistake, he would look around to find a scapegoat to point the finger at. This isthe start of a war. We should always remember that when we point one finger at a person, the other fourfingers are pointing at ourselves. If we forgiveo thers, others will ignore our mistake too.

NO OVERPOWERING
================
Many relationships fail because one party tries tooverpower another, or demands too much. People inlove tend to think that love will conquer all and their spouses will change the bad habits aftermarriage. Actually, this is not the case. There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "Itis easier to reshape a mountain or a river than a person's character." It is not easy to change.Thus, having high expectation on changing the spouse character will cause disappointment andunpleasantness. It would be less painful to change ourselves and lower our expectations..

Love in life, complex in heart... [Part 1]

TRUST
=====
TRUST is a very important factor for allrelationships. When trust is broken, it is the endof the relationship. Lack of trustleads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, angercauses enmity and enmity may result in separation.A telephone operator told me that one day shereceived a phone call. She answered, "PublicUtilities Board." There was silence. She repeated,"PUB." There was still no answer. When she wasgoing to cut off the line, she Heard a lady's voice,"Oh, so this is PUB. Sorry, I got the number from myHusband's pocket but I do not know whose number itis." Without mutual trust, just imagine what willhappen to the couple if the telephone operatoranswered with just "hello" instead of "PUB".

work, home, play, sleep...

How wonderful if we can just omit the first "Work" in the group.
Stop dreaming and start getting out of your day and night dreams.
*knocking my sense out before I can carry on...*

We spend 1/4 of our life sleeping, 1/5 of our life waiting, 1/3 of our life working, 1/7 of our life studying and what are we left with?

Plain old wrinkled filled, tired and never rich enough to enjoy luxury for the rest of our lives. [Besides those god damn lucky chaps born with gold in their mouth that they will spend like turning on the tap] In the first place, what do we live for? Have we ever thought of that? Now that you haven't, don't panic, you are not alone...

Sunny Lazy Rest Day

Hey it's Sunday,

What do you expect?

I need to rest, you too?

So don't expect too much...

You must be glad you have something to read on a Sunday...
As the saying goes,
"be early rather than late, be late rather then never"
so here is mine;
"have a little rather than nothing, if little ain't enough, it will never be..."

- In life, be contented with what you have,
cherish what you have, anything more is a bonus -

Sit and Sat and Eat like Fat

Most wonderful day of the week,
sitting around doing nothing but
walk eat, sit eat, talk eat, sweat eat on a saturday after-evening.

I can't believe that I sat down for four hours while enjoying my "breakfast", lunch and dinner all in the same location? Possible? Four hours straight without anyone to serve us on the table besides clearing our "used" plates and bowls.

Dining has never been so fun; Cooking your own food, mixing your own drink, helping yourself to all the condiments and gobbling anything and everything yet, without the expenses of washing the dishes... How amazing... with just a one time fee of... S$ 25/- per person.
I believe by now you should know what am I talking about... If not, stay tuned for the next episode. =)

If you are still blinded by the buffet eat till your drop mindset, here is a piece of my mind:
Pay to enjoy a variety, not the quantity, sometimes the quality, depending on the locality. Pay to enjoy the wonderful moments together with your loved ones, partners, families and even group of friends, its the experience that counts. Pay to make sure that no one leaves the restaurant on a half-filled stomach (unless that restaurant really serve sucks food) and everyone gets to be fully statisfactory.

If you are not, then welcome aboard! -

Long, not so busy, colorful day...

It's friday man, spirits fly man.
No matter what kind of deep shit job you are in, (provided that you don't have to work on saturdays) the last working day of the week sure feels good.

Had a long day out, buzzing around town, from Novena, Tanjong Pagar, Kim Seng, Sembawang, Beach Road, Bras Basah, City Hall and finally Chinatown before dragging myself home in the "don't know why so packed friday MRT train"...

Taking a little look around myself while travelling to all these places really makes me feel that I am more knowledgable. This is what I gathered from my observation:

Everyday, it's you who decides your destiny, if you choose to lead a happy day ahead, even monday blues can't stop you. It doesn't take a lot of clever brain cells to come out with that, if you know it already, good for you! If you don't, it's time that you learn how you can deal with your own life.

Of course, saying it is a lot easier than doing it. Well, I will not go into the details of how to "make" yourself feel good for the day or even everyday. If everything is spell out for you, then there won't be any fun at all in life already? Don't you agree with me?

- You are what you think you are,
Happy or sad, I leave it to you lah -

Too lost in yourself?... Take a new step ahead..

Hey people, I am here to offer my deepest thoughts,
whether you love it, hate it, still, you cannot stop.

Just to bring out something in life that we overlook,
for all the materialistic, fame and money that we took.

I am a simple guy living in a simple world,
writing all my experiences for a point to remember.
